About the roadshow

Carers Leeds and Hamara are delighted to be hosting a BME Carers Roadshow for unpaid carers from across Leeds’ diverse communities. This event aims to raise awareness of unpaid caring and the information, advice and support that is available in Leeds. There will be information stalls to help you learn more about:

• Finance, grants and benefits
• Your health & wellbeing
• Local services that can help
• Access to social groups
• Support available for care
• And much more!

The event is kindly supported by Leeds City Council. A number of organisations from across Leeds will also be at the Roadshow.

What is an unpaid carer?

A carer is someone who, without payment, provides support to a family member or friend, who, due to illness, disability, dementia, mental health issues or substance misuse, cannot manage without their help.
