Mission Statement:

To make a positive contribution to the lives of young people by increasing their life chances and helping their transition from youth to adulthood’.

We aim to achieve this by enabling young people to recognize and fulfil their potential through developing skills, confidence and aspirations. Hamara Youth Team are committed to providing quality support, guidance and an accessible friendly service.

Connexions

The Connexions PAs support young people by assisting them into education, employment and training. The Connexions team works predominantly with 13 – 19 year olds from South Asian communities. Working in partnership with external agencies, they aim to combat social exclusion within this key age group.Young people partaking in the cooking sessions as per the Summer Sunsation programme

The Engage Project

The Engage Youth Workers are responsible for making contact with young people from within the South Asian Community who are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour and engage them in a range of personal development, recreational, and learning opportunities.

 Leeds Muslim Youth Forum

The aim of the project is to act as a consultative body to help service providers engage Muslim youth into their services and develop appropriate responses to the specific needs of Muslim youth.

Sports Development Project

To develop a programme of activities which use sport as an incentive to bring people together and help develop positive relationships, build trust and understanding and reduce the level of tension between disparate communities.

Supplementary School
